The ROC Resource Center is in great need of additional volunteers, including:

Data Entry Assistant Volunteers, who enter a variety of client information into the tracking software. Depending on level of interest, these volunteers may also gather initial client information, assist clients with paperwork, and refer clients to resources for assistance. The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable with basic computer applications and typing. Previous experience working in an office is a plus.

Length of project: Ongoing
Time commitment: 3-8 hours per week, 6-month commitment

Receptionist Volunteers, answers phones, greets and assist clients with paperwork and forms, and helps with email. The ideal candidate for this role is friendly, reliable, has professional phone etiquette, and is comfortable with basic computer applications

Length of project: Ongoing
Time commitment: 2-8 hours twice per week, 3-6 month commitment

Help Rebuild Sonoma County Home with Hope Crisis Relief Network (Hope City)

Hope City has approved two clients in Sonoma County who lost their homes in the 2017 wildfires and will rebuild their houses once the permitting process is complete. Hope City is looking for teams of volunteers once the rebuilding begins.

Clean River Alliance – Volunteer workdays cleaning up the Russian River waterways. Due the the increase in homelessness in Sonoma County after the fires, increased amount of trash has been finding its way to our waterways. Now the flood has created a huge influx of debris clogging the whole Russian River waterway. Please check out the calendar and volunteer sign-up page to help.

Habitat for Humanity Sonoma County – Habitat for Humanity is in the process of building cottages for survivors of the wildfires. To sign up to volunteer visit their website at https://www.habitatsoco.org/.
